Ever Since the film The Polar Express was released Polar Express Train Rides have been popular. Throughout the months of Novemeber, December and January children of all ages can enjoy a train ride with hot chocolate and cookies and can hear the magical tale the "Polar Express" writen and illustrated by Chris Van Allsburg.
In the story a young boy is lying in bed on Christmas Eve waiting for Santa's arrival. He hears the sound of a train outside which is The Polar Express. The conductor invites him to come aboard the train which he finds is filled with children on their way to the North Pole. During the journey the kids are treated to hot chocolate and cookies. The story ends with the young boy being picked by Santa to receive the first gift of Christmas. He chooses a silver bell from Santa's sleigh. When he returns home and wakes up on Christmas morning he sees that the bell is still in his possession.
